Mypricegarbage & R&R

Mypricegarbage & R&R

Postby Rykid50 » Wed Aug 03, 2016 12:44 am

Exhaust nuts and bolts ?! Really ? I fully understand the concept behind this program but It needs work. What's everyone doing because I know the small dealers won't pay for this. I'm using R&R I'm curious what others are doing about pricing. This is alreadyyyyy making shops complain as the quotes take even longer. Good move GM. Let's piss these guys off so keystone just gets bigger. Anyways ..... Thoughts on pricing structure ? Any way to just pin point these items and set up a structure on R&R? I know my way around but most of you have been here a lot longer. Thanks in advance !

I've got my R&R sources set up to create list and trade prices based on cost. 2323 line 8 for "Only $0.00 price parts", and each applicable source needs to be done, including your sp-ord source. That way every price shows up for my counter staff and service advisors using SPG. BUT we only deal with but a few wholesale collision shops, so we will just have to watch out for them getting a price from OEconnection that's different from ours. We'll just match their prices and file a bump claim if there is one available.

We did exactly what possum did. Works great! We do not sell to ANY body shops, so this whole mess hasn't really affected us very much. Darn ;)

I'm guessing you're not running a matrix? We run a matrix and seems if I do what you stated i'll have ti change a bunch of things

I have a matrix set up. Makes no difference. My matrix is its own price level, which shows up as COMP on blue screen. And now MPL parts also show a list and trade, which is marked up from cost by the percentages I chose. As possum said, the option in 2323 to manually mark up list/trade on parts having 0 in those fields sets everything up so that the only parts with list prices marked up from cost are those that no longer have a published list. Matrix prices were set to mark up from cost initially for me anyway. Were your matrix prices based on list +? That's the only way I see your matrix being affected by MPL crap.

You can keep your Matrix, but like Bailo1 said you'll have to base it on cost+ now instead of any list+ scenario. I use the WARR field, or you could use COMP like he does but if you're modifying the LIST field to create your matrix it will get kind of complicated; if you switch to using one of these others you'll also have to change your default pricing on Service and Body shop ROs.

Mine is based off list and tiered from there. It was set up that way when I got here I just did some minor adjustments. I also made a call today to the area rep regarding pricelink with GM and voiced a few issues already. It's not just body parts as they said. Their thoughts is aftermarket can't get retail pricing yet could just get OE connect themselves. He agreed Reynolds seems to have the most issues yet. Last thing I need to do is make these shops mad making up my own list price. Gm and their wonderful ideas. They should allow us to actually use bump the comp money to make the sale. I couldn't begin to tell you how many jobs We lose over minimal money that bump the comp won't work on. Sad that the designing these programs probably have never worked in a dealership. Oh well

we're going to be working off of a percentage over cost on the MPL parts.

but so far, we haven't noticed any 0.00 prices in the catalog on MPL parts. makes me wonder if we paid reyrey for integration.....

If you've still got pricing in your GM EPC catalog something's not updating... The pricing on MPL parts went away six months ago
