GM CALENDARS......OR NOT?

GM CALENDARS......OR NOT?

Postby Denise Trimble » Wed Nov 30, 2016 9:17 pm

Is anyone else having problems getting their GM calendar order? We keep getting the proverbial run-around when we call for information, or just get chucked into a voicemail to leave a never-to-be-returned message. Meanwhile, our wholesale customers have everyone else's calendars up (Napa, Auto Zone, Ford, Toyota, etc.)! Way to go GM.

We have also received the Muscle Car ones but that's it.

I'm sure GM put the screws to this vendor too hence the delays.

I quit ordering calendars years ago. I would have people come in (not customers) and take them to use for their xmas gifts. One of which, actually chided me for no longer stocking them. I asked when the last time he purchased a part from me...he said "10 or so years ago!"

We got the very stylish "New Cars & Concepts" in yesterday. But we didn't order them to begin with. every thing else is still on B/O!

I agree with those of you who no longer order, or order elsewhere; however our owners love to see some of the one-n-done customers who show up for handfuls of these gems!

HAPPY GIFT-GIVING!

We get people wanting 4-5 to do the same thing. So we have a limit of 1 unless we know them and they purchase from us on a regular basis, then it is 2.

We always get the classics and have people complaining that we don't get the racing???

Muscle Car calendars rec'd about a week ago... Destinations still on backorder.

Does anyone else notice the crappy photos that they use ?? I am a photographer, and the photos are poorly composed and exposed, with several shot "on the dark side", tires or bumpers cut-off. Most seem to have been taken with a wide angle lens up close causing a distortion of the classic lines of these beautiful GM cars.

For a positive note... the march Buick GSX is nice, as is the june corvette, and the sept GTO.

A little bragging here.. If you see the Candy Apple Red 55 chevy wagon, that's my cousins car. He also has a Royal Blue 56 or 57 which didn't make the calendar..
