Dexos Full Synthetic

Dexos Full Synthetic

Postby mightytitan9 » Thu Mar 09, 2017 2:23 pm

My supplier says Dexos 5w30 is no longer available as a synthetic blend and must be purchased as full synthetic. We've been billing stuff out as the synthetic blend, but we need to start billing it as full synthetic but the EPC and specs still call for synthetic blend? Anyone else ran into this? Do you just use full synthetic and bill full synthetic?

so are you just billing it out as full synthetic on the warranty tickets also? didn't want to void a warranty

What number are you being invoiced for?

let's hope it's not 88862612 that you are using as Dexos 5w30. That part number is the BULK 15w40 Delvac 1300 oil for the diesels :o

AS FAR AS I KNOW THE PART NUMBER NEVER CHANGED JUST THE PRODUCT. AND IF YOU ARE INDEED IN THE GM OIL PROGRAM THEN YOUR SUPPLIER SHOULD HAVE STARTED CHANGING THE MIX TO FULL SYNTHETIC AROUND SEPTEMBER. ALL 2017 MODELS ARE ALREADY EQUIPPED AT THE FACTORY WITH FULL SYNTHETIC.

The bulk number used to be 19293003 and we now use 88865639. First was a blend and the new number is a full. The price did not change. YET!

The price went up 40 cents per gallon when it changed. 19293003 was $9.31 and 88865639 is $9.71.
