Billing out but not sharing (w/service)

Billing out but not sharing (w/service)

Postby LOWAIRD1964 » Fri Sep 01, 2017 12:42 pm

I know its been asked plently of times now I see it on the board talked about. What are most people doing now a days to bill a part on a ticket but not share any profits with the service dept. Ex. Radios (under warranty) billing the $25 on a ticket we would just sell "handling" as the part number. But if we continue to do it this way I know its messing up inventory because of service getting half of the profits. What is the easiest way to handle the radio exchanges with out worrying about service getting any of our WHOLE $25

Depending on your DMS, you can bill it out in GOG or MISC and make sure you have your accounting dept point those accounts back to you.

I know it can be done in R&R and Automate. Not sure about CDK. I'm on CDK now but with Toyota and we don't have to play those silly GM reindeer games.

Service doesn't get a split on Warranty, only Customer Pay

We don't bill it out anyway, my warranty clerk submits it "NET" and credits Parts 480 SALE ACCT
