CDK Physical Inventory question

CDK Physical Inventory question

Postby onelap99 » Thu Feb 22, 2018 11:19 pm

Question for you CDK guys out there about performing a full physical inventory. Can you run PHP and then post sheets over a 2 day period? We're counting our inventory Saturday after close and Sunday and didn't know if it would be a problem to punch sheets Saturday night and Sunday (i.e can 'end of day' run while a physical is being performed?).

Also, in regard to running bin sheets, which option sorts in Bin/Group/Numeric for GM parts? Options are:

SORT SEQUENCE
1=NUMERIC
2=SOURCE/NUMERIC
3=BIN/NUMERIC
4=CLASS/NUMERIC
5=CLASS/SOURCE/NUMERIC
6=BIN/CLASS/NUMERIC
7=BIN/SOURCE/NUMERIC....................................?

Thanks

If I remember correctly your end of day job stack should be shut off when doing inventory. I always ran mine #3 Bin Numeric. We always counted Friday night until midnight (or done whichever came first) then came back on Saturday to finish. I would come in Sunday and reset all job stacks and print inventory pad.

I believe option 6 will sort each bin by group/part#.

You can post over a 2 day period.

As MS stated and you can print the sheets whenever you want, even before the close of business, but you cannot change bin locations or perform a supersession after the print. I hope you are using a laser printer, otherwise it will take forever to print.
