Parts staffing formula

Mike, please clarify your formula of 1400-1600 pieces/man/month. Does a six-quart oil change with filter count as seven pieces or two pieces? Five lug nuts versus one lug nut...how do you score that? My system is capable of providing me a total piece count, but NOT the total number of part lines sold.

All, would you include or omit Bulk Oil / "GOG" sources from your parts piece count numbers?

including my GOG Sources in the MGR grand total calculation I have 2600pc/man without GOG piece count I have 1600pc/man

the number is either fine or high - depending on which number I use.

13125/5 with GOG 8161/5 without GOG

I'm afraid that this may be a stupid/noob question but its going to make all the difference in the world.
