My battery warehouse says there is no increase and I can't find anything new on Global Connect either.

The Delco Distributor is usually responsible for the core charge rate. We have one who charges $15 each, and one who charges $18 each. They don't fluctuate. If yours is constantly changing, I wonder if it regards their cash flow?

You would think GM would set the core prices. Our battery trucks, we have 2, will not charge us if we are short a core. I think the whole core charge thing might be a scam.

of course it is. They are counting on not getting cores back. The higher the core charge, the more they make

From an inside source at the delco WD. All cores including warranty cores are scrapped at a local recycler.
Kind of makes you think that ACDelco does not even charge the WD for cores. If that's the case, then those core charges are pure profit whether they get them back or not.

The prices were changed on 08/01/18, I was notified by my WD salesperson 07/31/18 late afternoon. But we didn't get an updated list from GM until 08/14/18.
