We noticed that (on OEC) when checking for availability; after receiving the "Vendor Ship Direct, No Vendor Stock Available" within GlobalConnect. Turns out, everything we checked yesterday, that was VSD, had the same message

We have seen the same thing. Ship direct, nothing available, but shows up the next day anyway. WTF

WITH THE AMOUNT OF GROSS I HAVE MADE OFF OF BACKORDERS SELLING ON D2D THIS MONTH I HAVE PAID FOR 3 MONTHS OF OE CONNECTION SUBSCRIPTIONS. WHEN MY REP WAS HERE THE OTHER DAY I SHOWED HIM THIS AND ASKED IF GM HAD A BACKORDER PROBLEM RIGHT NOW. I THEN ASKED HIM WHY TRANSMISSIONS WERE ON BACKORDER, THEN SHOWED HIM ALL THE POWERTRAIN DEALERS ACROSS THE USA WITH 25+ ON HAND AND ASKED HIM IF THIS WAS THE REASON WHY I COULDN'T GET SUCH SAID TRANSMISSION. OH BY THE WAY WE GET PENALIZED FROM BUYING THE TRANSMISSION FROM THEM.

TRAINED ANSWER, LOOKED AT ME AND SMILED AND SHRUGGED.

You shouldn't be penalized if it isn't a service lane part.

But the dollars spent anywhere else lower your ability to hit the higher (or highest) discount tier, so it may or may not penalize you...

I watched that 7 minute video of those two guys from GM, and I can't believe their mindset. We are supposed to work hand in hand with them to help them resolve a problem that they created.



And then they slap our hands for trying to take care of our customers. :shrug:
