GM District Manager & Others Unresponsive

Postby Ichabod Farquar » Mon Aug 26, 2019 4:21 pm

Are there any other GM parts and service managers out there having problems with their DMAs? Specifically not returning calls and / or emails.

We have a few parts delays that have escalated to buyback status - and would qualify for lemon law relief. GM seems to be AWOL and I don't know what to do about it.

Probably on vacation as usual whenever there is a holiday coming up they all go on vacation the week before the holiday. Then they give you a phone number of another rep who doesn't answer their phone! Although, when they want that $10g filter order they answer their phones immediately!!!

Funny you should say $10k filter order, I have an order I want to send, just waiting for my Rep to e-mail asking for it. I want to come off like the hero this time!! :D

I have been known to jump on the bash train pretty quickly, but I have to say that my current rep is the best I have ever had at returning communications. He may not know the answer, but he will try to get it and communicate such. Sadly, he can't help the current backorder situation!

Wow, congrats on getting - what sounds like - a good one.

I haven't had a good one for a few years. A long time ago I had the best one ever. I could call him at home, ON A WEEKEND, and he would help me. As a matter of fact when he retired several of us parts managers got together and took him out to dinner and had a little party - at our own expense. I learned later he was reprimanded for attending a parts manager funded event. It seems that GM looked at that event as a "kick-back." We were only saying Thank You for years of service and excellent support. Sadly there are only a couple at GM I would buy lunch for today.
