GM TRAILERING LABEL

GM TRAILERING LABEL

Postby CHUCKINPARTS » Wed Jul 21, 2021 6:10 pm

Has anyone dealt with this bulletin……….N202309631: TRAILERING INFORMATION LABEL INCORRECTLY STATES TRAILERING CAPABILITIES. (JUN 2,2021). We have two used trucks with a stop sale on them till recall is done. We tried to order with VIN in comments line and both orders cancelled for improper VIN. It also states that the label will be sent out at no charge but the cost in global is $123.27. It also says the customer will get a correction letter to put in glove box and they can order a new label if they want. So why the stop sale order for us? Another GM bulletin that’s as clear as mud………………

Verify recall requirement by running VIN in IVH yourself. There was some confusion about the recall(s) on these trucks. GM issued a message, today I think, attempting to clarify.

Basically there are three recalls, each with a different requirement or set of requirements. Your truck(s) may not need the label or a different one.

The recall is correct and it gives the option to an owner to just put that letter in glove box and your done. We have to hold the vehicles till we get the label in order to certify them. The second order we put in went (I think) so we will wait to see how long it takes to resolve. About the cost of labels being $123.00 I don't know.

I ordered two last week. Was just billed for one of them yesterday. If it is part #85532775 it definitely costs $123.27.

I provided incorrect information. I was thinking of the Canyon recall - sorry

These labels are free I order about 8 through the gmonestore site in the global apps... There was no charge to our dealership. Where it asked for vin I simply put the recall campaign number.
