LPO'S

LPO'S

Postby CHUCKINPARTS » Wed Feb 09, 2022 9:04 pm

Anyone else filling up every bit of available floor space with LPO liners, running boards and tonneau covers? I was just informed that the Ecommerce orders for front and rear liners for 2021 Blazers are not on backorder but they are red listed. That means they are only available for LPO’s and will have to wait at least another two months for these Ecomm orders to be filled. I wondered what people thinking of purchasing a new Blazer would think…………am I going to be treated like that if I buy a new Blazer?????? Makes no sense to fill storage areas with parts waiting for vehicles to come in while keeping us from selling them. Who the fuck thought up this LPO shit. I’m not going to take the heat on this one. If someone asks……. I’ll tell them the truth.

I agree. LPO's are a hassle, I have floor mats stacked up and spread out that take up the space of a one bedroom apartment. Vehicles are not here, still in production and when we do give sales a list of VIN's there are always several that are gone, sold, traded off. At managers meetings I have gone into General Patton mode, it's so easy to check the list when a vehicle is sold and make sure the steps, mats, etc are with the vehicle. It comes down to giving a shit, hey I sold a vehicle, what should I care if all the LPO's are not there.

I am told I am very lucky. I dont have to handle LPOs. When the program came out, I was able to show the owner how parts was being cut out of the profit with the new system. He agreed and made service and sales
be accountable. Thank the gods.

What I don't understand is the 20" black blazer wheel LPO. you can purchase a nicer Black 21" blazer wheel and it comes from the factory like that. But no, someone (ADI)
has to make a ton of money on this but we (parts dept) make nothing and do it all

They did this bs a couple years ago with the Equinox liners. Red Listed means they are saving whatever stock is in the accessory warehouse(s) to fill LPO orders, until stock is depleted. (If your accessory warehouse is also your ADI, check the locator and see if they show stock.) Keeping that in mind, we didn't have the same type of shortages a couple years ago, so now the "backorders" will take excruciatingly longer to fill.

FROM THE ADI ITSELF. I DON'T KNOW IF THEY ARE ON BACKORDER OR NOT. I DO KNOW THAT THESE ECOMM ORDERS WILL NOT BE FILLED EVEN IF THEY DID HAVE SOME...……….
