This week, it seems as if OEC is sending a barrage of 20-30 requests at once, which are instantly expired. I try to capture what I can, however even The Flash would be challenged to click as fast!

Anymore I am running into dealers that have an engine or transmission, willing to sell, but only if the requesting dealer is willing to pay cost plus 15% and pay shipping. They will not do an Express Direct, refuse to do so. Really cannot blame them, why only make a $100 when it will eventually sell at warranty markup.
Problem with this is, if parts are not available to rebuild and a transmission/engine assembly is the best option, it has to go through channels for warranty approval, meanwhile the customer sits for several more days waiting for the higher ups to make up their mind. But the customer is the center of what GM does.

I'd like to see the dealer info. If I have a part by the old#, I'd like to call the dealer and ask permission to send it in order to get the vehicle out the door!

Be careful with that, it is against the sprint rules to ship parts that don't match. Our previous guy did that and that is what made him our previous guy. One of the GM reps came down and executed his career himself. If the part doesn't match the one on the spac and isn't new in box, then it doesn't go out the door for it.

I understand, and thank you for the reminder. I have also had other dealers call to ask me the same question, so there are honest ones out there. For instance: If I needed the most current updated module for a specific issue, then most definitely can't accept an old part#. But I can see how another item could have less of an impact on another repair, especially in these times of 30-60packs of hardware being sourced by GM from Facility 33. How do I know some washer, bolt or nut isn't from Ace Hardware? (Which DID happen to me recently on a SPRINTed suspension washer)

Yeah I call bs on that (not you, the sprinting dealer). Did you call DPAC and report that? If another dealer does that they can submit what is called a sprint violation. That is how we ended up losing our previous guy, too many of them.

No, I didn't report it. I can only hope karma is still a bitch to those dirty rat bastards! There are dealers who keep a list and get their own justice down the line. I don't have that kind of time, but karma does.
