Spark cvt replacement transmission?

2014 cvt transmission failure, slipping, has anyone rebuilt these transmissions or replaceable only?
Waiting on tech to call tac. Just wondering if anyone has come across a spark cvt failure. They are on backorder so assuming we aren't the only one with a problem.

TOOK 2 WEEKS TO CONVINCE GM THAT WE WERE DEALING WITH A BAD TRANS. FINALLY AUTHORIZED A TRANS BUT WE ARE STILL WAITING FOR THE TRANS.

Waited 1 month for backorder unit to show up, installed it and 2 weeks later car back with same problem

The way this so-called catalog is working the past few days, it may take me that long to look one up

WE GOT IN 2 TODAY. ONLY TOOK 3 WEEKS. DIRECT SHIP FROM SOUTH KOREA. LOOKS LIKE THEY ROLLED IT OFF AND ON THE SHIP!!

CARDBAORD BOXES. ONE ON A PALLET AND ONE NOT. BOTH HAD PIG MATS AND SHRINK WRAP AROUND THE OUTSIDE.

FEDEX OVERNIGHT DELIVERED THEM. THE ONE ON THE PALLET WAS ON ITS SIDE ON THE FEDEX TRUCK!!

We got ours last Friday, in a cardboard box hanging thru the side of it looks like it rolled off plane as well from s Korea. Luckily no damage.

Obviously this issue hasn't been address in the last couple years. Our first one was, literally, not figuratively, broken in half. Parts leaking out of the cardboard box as the DDS driver wheeled it off the trailer. Signed bill of lading, a visit from the DSPM, and photos to GM didn't change much.

And it never will change with the General. It's less of an expense for GM to pay individual damage claims than to make a major redesign of the packaging to
PREVENT shipping damage.
