GCUS-6-651 From Barry Engle relates to GM telling their story. Seems more like Flowers In The Attic instead of the Brady Bunch these days. Why would they need to sway any opinions to the public? Why not also concentrate on swaying the opinions of the customer facing employees; who in turn glue the public opinions of GM customers to the brand?

If they tried harder with us dealers I wouldn't have to tell customers that GM screws its dealers over and that's why parts are cheaper on Amazon.

I have already told a few customers this, and will keep doing it until I am told to stop.

I just had another discussion with our DMA this week about this issue. I explained what I feel pretty much everyone on this forum feels. It would really be nice if GMCCA treated us like they expect us to treat our mutual customers. We have to jump through more hoops and do more work than we ever have to satisfy our customers by locating parts and paying more to complete a job. He looked at me with the blank stare and really didn't respond to it. Gotta Love that Great GM Feeling!!!!!

I just wish that we could get the parts at the same price as Amazon and the other big box guys are getting them for. Lets have a level playing field for all of us. And give us back our discounts!!!! Why do I have to buy 3.05 million dollars in parts to get 5.3%?!?

Message received from PDC 051 this morning.

UAW Negotiations:
Due to the UAW Work Stoppage, the PDC will not be shipping normal scheduled orders.
Communications forthcoming to dealers from GM with updates and status of the UAW Negotiations.
