I believe the official position of GM is to make sure it makes it to the customer no matter what and that they are not to be sold. Officially....

unrelated but do you own a heat gun

You mean a blow torch? Build a bonfire? Sell the side steps for scrap?

Our GM understands the gravity of not having ALL LPO's installed, so he is on-board with all 3 departments (Sales, Service, and Parts) being held responsible for ensuring that they end up on the vehicle. I have put one or two in the Sales managers office. Our society is becoming more and more litigious, sooner or later this program is going to cause problems for dealers and GM.

Just remember - Monoroney Label is a federal law, and LPO's are on the Monroney label as part of the build.

We learned the hard way... its not a route you want to go down.
