Hi guys and gals - anyone on here using Automate that has figured out a slick way to do line-pricing (group-pricing) while using a matrix for all the rest of the parts? I want to do the work that the manufacturers are not doing by common pricing the fast-moving parts, i.e., brake pads, rotors, air filters, cabin filters, wipers, etc. in an effort to make it easier on the service advisors to quote jobs, and also to retain a couple pennies more built into the special pricing. In Reynolds I was able to use the "comp" pricing field and told the matrix that IF there was a comp price in the part record, that is what we want to use on RO's. In CDK I was able to move the part numbers into a separate source and "no matrix" that source. In Automate, no joy ......
We are a Hyundai dealer as well as Buick-GMC; under the Hyundai smart stock program, one is not allowed to move the source that the part record is set up in. With GM I can do whatever I want because RIM is ALWAYS gonna find the GM part number, regardless of the source that it is set in.
Thanks for any help provided !!
