Web Filtering

Any ADP users out there using any web filtering tool to limit access by employee's to the internet other than the ADP solution? Looking for something simple to manage that you can assign allowable sites by either user/pc name or IP address. Thanks

We have tried many of things. We are on Reynolds but ues their product called websense. No matter what you do there are ways around it. Honestly the employee will spend more time trying to figure that out then actually working.

We found that to only allow a few computers access to the websites and not allow every computer works the best! Basically take the internet away from who ever doesn't "need" it at their desk. Any computer that has access to it make sure its not hidden out in the open so everyone sees whats on it.

This seems to have worked in our store. People still have the access to do work and check email if they need but if they don't need to be online(like me) they will be doing work.
well good luck...

We have recently installed a great product from St. Bernard Software called iPrism.
It works very well and you can use it with Active Directory. It has preconfigured groups and you can create your own groups, so everyone can have access to just the sites they need.

Barracuda Networks has webfilter310.
We have that installed and IP addresses are subnetted by department. This allows Managers to control what there department has access to.Setup took some work once in place lifesaver.Blocks spyware and controls access. Combined with Barracuda Spam filter and Trend SMB antivirus network is approaching self healing with regard to spyware and viruses.
