with the advent of internet based communications with the manufacturer, i would be interested in helping to develope a windows-based server dms that would have more flexibility and versitality than the big 3 dms providers have now (and with far less cost for hardware/peripherals/ports/applications).

ADP 9400 vs 9200

Postby LBBarrow » Mon Dec 23, 2002 11:13 am

Since I started this string last summer, I have come across very little information on the newest ADP technology, particularly re:ADP 9400 and 9500. Are there any users out there who would care to comment on their experience (especially related to their previous system, ADP 8800, R+R ERA, etc.)
Following is a link to a brief summary on the differences between the 9400 and 9500.
Thanks!

ADP 9400 vs 9200

LB,

Careful with that link - its for the wholesale distributor division, not dealer services.
The dealer page is dealersuite.com
Though I'll admit, there isn't much about the 94/9500 on that page.

9400 is an IBM platform for up to about 300 users.
9500 is for more than that.
Its been out for about a year and is a replacement for the 9400 (digital/compaq alpha-server)
Yeah, its pretty fast too.

Though the box is important - don't you think the real value comes from the software, process, and network connectivity?
