Group Leaders

Any of you all that are on groups, could you tell me what you are paying your group leads. I'm paying so much per hours turn in the shop less the hours the group leader is turning. However I feel that it is a little light for what they are doing and was thinking about giving them a little bump. Thanks

Are you "true" group or a variation of group? Latteral support, modified group?
Do you bucket time or are the techs paid individual?
Contact me. I have worked most variations of team and group concepts.

Big Orange,

We pay our Group Leaders $2.00 per flat rate hour they produce over and above their normal flat rate. This compensates them for the time that they spend overseeing 2-4 techs in their respective group. In essence, it comes to about $400.00 to $500.00 (or more based on their proficiency) a month in additional compensation. There is a list of responsibilities that go along with this income. Let me know if you want a copy of their job description.

Orange- I am using lateral support, 2 teams. I am paying (@ one store) 1 dollar per hour for every hour the other team members flag. I also will hire an apprentice for the team leader pay him hourly and allow the team leader to flag all of the "helpers" hours-but..I deduct a percentage from the team leaders bonus based on clock hours paid to the 'helper". If you followed that and want to know the ups and downs, email me.
