Need some help with a jeep

My neighbor girl recently purchased the following vehicle with a service contract

I have the Maximum Care Service Contract through Damler Chrysler. It is through 100,000 miles

this thing smells really bad around the floor console, it does have a sunroof and i was wondering if water has been seeping in from top and working its way down, according to the local dealer its not covered under her contract any help with this would be great as she a great kid

Probably a stopped up evaporator drain tube. Unplug it shampoo the carpet, then after it is dry run an ozone generator in it for a couple of hours, and no more smell

Theone is correct , I would go there first.Past Jeep models have had their share of water leaks , but unsure of that Compass model. One other thing we used to have issues with was pinched drain tubes in the "A" pillar. It would cause water ( based upon angle vehicle is parked ) to flow down and in around the kick panel areas on either side.
