any and all suggestions as to the type of floor to use to update my 10 year old showroom?

Easy Answer, Tile....use a neutral color if possible, grey is best, beige will work. Make sure to seal the grout ASAP to keep it from staining. We laid a tile floor in our showroom (built in 1963) and you will not believe how much it updates the appearance!

Same answer here. We laid a nice italian ceramic 5 years ago, and it still looks great today. Go with what you feel will be a classic look, (some tiles are very trendy and might appear dated a year or two from now). The only other advice I can offer is to make sure your color goes all the way thru the tile, if it should chip it will not be as noticable.
