Repair vs Replace analysis sheet

Repair vs Replace analysis sheet

Postby flyboy » Thu Mar 20, 2003 4:54 pm

I used to have a sheet the techs and parts guys would fill out respective portions of in order to determine the most cost effective approach to unit repairs. Actually, I thought it was required by GM, and now I feel like a blockhead because I cannot find a copy of it. Isn't there one in the P&P manual, or bulletin or something?

(Man I feel like an idiot asking this!)

The mythical GM verison of the R v. R form ... I hear tell of it, but I've never seen one -- no matter how much I ask to have a copy sent to me

That being said, of course we developed our own and often I use it in conjunction with the PQC form/approval process.

You cna get the acrobat pdf file of it by clicking this link:
http://www.warrantydollars.com/rvr.pdf

If anyone has trouble with that link, just let me know.

Is GM Bulletin # 02-07-30-029C what you are looking for.

close, that's the PQC form - which tells us to have accuate repair and replace estimates - but it doesn't give (at least the SI view) us a form to do that.
