Question 16

I just had the same problem with a head for an Acadia. Even with a SPAC case took 2 weeks to get here and arrived damaged. I would hope that given they have a TSB out on the issue, they would have upped production a bit.
It really makes it tough to completely satisfy a customer. I always let them know exactly what we're doing to get the part here faster. That has been working so far....

Question 16

Similar Situation here, Been waiting for a specific hose on a ventura, backordered , got a spac on it, they say "currently product is under review for Quality assurance." After I dug into it a bit further, I found out the parts were still overseas or "OFF SHORE" as they stated it. I have been waiting since July 7th. Mean while Customer is furious and called Gm, They told him the same thing, .... Yet he looks at me and wonders why.

SPAC cases are at an all time high. Most all of them are CSI customers.
The battle continues...

Question 16

We all know that any part is available from anywhere in a few days. The question is whether the people who control such things care enough to get it.

We are in Grand Rapids, MI. We can get GM parts from Detroit (100 miles) in one day. Chicago (100 miles) is 3 days. Lansing (50 miles) is 5 days. Been like that for years. Makes one wonder about whoever is in charge.

BTW, my daughter lives in Belgium (works security at NATO, the EU, the US embassy). Maybe she could pick up it up and ship it to you. Odds are it would get here much quicker.

Huh, I got you all covered. Earlier this year we needed a LF headlamp capsule for an 05 DTS in the body shop. Long story short it took 3 mos and a $4200.00 rental bill.
