NADA stats on ROs per VIO and 1 line ROs

Postby antmart06 » Tue Sep 02, 2008 11:46 am

Good day,

Just wanted to ask what are NADA guidelines on what is the average amount of ROs yearly should be performed on the amount of vehicles of operation that you have. I have heard either 2 and or 3 is that correct?

Also what are the NADA guidelines for the amount of 1 line ROs a service department should have?

Thank you.

Not sure about the first question, but the answer to the second is no greater than 10-15% of all RO's should be one line.

To clarify the first question. For each VIO or UIO there is a stat on how many customer pay ROs should be performed on each VIO or UIO that your dealership has. I have heard in the past that it is either 2 or 3, so for example if I have 100 VIOs or UIOs then I would need 200 customer pay ROs to be 100% at capacity. That is the stat I need is it 2 or 3?

antmart06,
dealerinfolink.com on service department benchmarks lists a similar benchmark by NetProfit Inc. It is called "Customer Visits Per Year". The benchmark is 2.3 visits per year. It doesn't state customer pay, warranty etc. Hope this helps.
