Toyota store here as well. Our tech's are paid 2 hours for the Safety Inspection and then and additional 1 hour to certify the vehicle. Our used car department pays CP rate on parts and labor and all work is done in our shop, never and independant and they NEVER have a problem holding their gross. This is definately something that should be discussed with not only your GM, but your entire management staff. Just my $0.02

SERVICE DOES NOT EXIST TO INCREASE THE PROFITS ON THE USED CAR DEPT. ASK THE UCD MGR IF IT IS OK FOR YOUR EMPLOYEES TO RECOMMEND SELLING USED CARS AT JOE'S UCD LOT. WHAT'S GOOD FOR THE GOOSE IS GOOD FOR THE GANDER.. IT IS ALWAYS TO HARD TO CONVIENCE THE GM AND UCD MGR THAT MONEY SPENT INTERNALLY IS BETTER THAN OUTSIDE THE DEALERSHIP. I AGREE WITH THE ABOVE COMMENTS.
