I am curious as to how many of you are still using the stick-on stub sheets? We have only been on computer RO's for 18 months, I want to get away from stub-sheets, but dealer is reluctant to change.

The biggest concern is compliance for warranty.

Many dealers that have abandoned stubs (I assume this is the same as payroll flag sheets or lick-em-stick-ems), have tech terminals (ERO or ESI). The tech terminals allow tracking of actual time as well as sold time without going to a time clock for punch in/out.
I'm pretty sure that warranty requires actual time posting - especially if you're 200% efficient or tracking diag time.

If you don't have tech terminals, you can still utilize the payroll functions for productivity/efficiency reporting and automated payroll interface. Most dealers run parallel for a pay-cycle or two to iron out discrepencies. Typical discrepencies are existing (loose) policies towards pre and post flagging time on the flag sheet and not on an RO.

Wow, I have not seen a stub flags in many years. How big is you dealer? I would try to gravitate away from it because there is a stronger possibility of fraud. Sounds like a family atmosphere and a small dealer. That the only places I will work for.

It is a small family dealership, I do cross check daily with stub sheets and what was actually closed out during the day.

I have not used time flags for almost 10 yrs. Most DMS systems have automated payroll options. I have used ADP, UCS and Reynolds. There are little things you need to know about each to make sure your flagging is correct. Most have to do with partial payments in multible pay weeks. Doing payroll this way assures good accounting(tech only gets paid for what was actually flagged on ro). Your work in process schedule will be easier to clean with little adjustments.
