GM Warranty Tire Replacements

Has anyone been having trouble in any areas of the country obtaining tires from local tire outlets? In particular I am refering to Firestone dealers and Firestone Affinity tires that we have been replacing on numerous Malibus and Cutlas's. We have been getting the run around by numerous Firestone dealers in our area, upstate New York, and I spoke with upper management personell at Firestone who assured me there is ample supply of these tires out there and that actual Firestone dealers must honor the warranty replacements and supply us with the tires. We contacted 5 local Firestone dealers today and were told tires on backorder for months,not available,we can upgrade you to Firehawks and GM will okay it,
YEAH RIGHT!! and, we will sell you some but we won't warranty them. Is this a local or regional issue or cros country?

Getting anything out of Firestone is impossible right now. During normal times, however, the only tire we have had problems getting because theri system is so bad is Goodrich. They are terrible to deal with and take forever. General and Goodyear have been quick and easy
