Pricing Guide for GM?

I need a way that the service advisors can price a job as a total quote without bouncing a customer back and forth to parts. I used a book type thing at the last Toyota dealer I was at, and it worked great. EDS has a thing on their system, but it's very hard to use and setup, so the advisors won't touch it. Any ideas?

Do you have access to Service Price Guides?
This is a real positive tool to alleviate the problem at hand.

You didn't say what system you are using, if it is Reynolds, they have an excellent service estimating application which uses your labor rates and parts prices. We have used it for three years with accurate results.

SPG or Service Price guides is now owned by Reynolds, they used to have a stand alone system but it is no longer available unless your a Reynolds customer.
We just installed All Data in our shop for used cars and looks as though you can manipulate it similier to SPG for Grid pricing, parts matrix etc.
Times are pretty good too.

There are a number of choices for you for pricing guides. If you are on ADP and R&R they both have systems that will go on the main computer and integrate into your service application. You can also buy stand alone PC based versions of many of these systems. I've seen them used by service advisors and technicians.

Thanks for all the response, I think I found what we were looking for. My old boss contacted me off the list, thinking it was me, and reminded me of the Haynes-Ligon books that Toyota uses. We are on EDS, and would be better off using the book form of the guides, as our service writers don't have PC's yet. EDS does have a pricing module, but it's difficult to use and not very fast. Again, thanks for the suggestions!!

We've been happy with "All-Data". Does the job fine, and is relatively inexpensive.

In fairness, though, I must say that I only looked at two systems so I don't have a very broad perspective.
