I am interested in what SA's are making in different areas of the country. Does if differ by franchise, shop size, etc. What type of plans are in use and what is your opinion of the effectiveness?

Total pay: $3,000 $3,500/month
$350/week plus 4% parts and labor gross (no commission on warranty parts).

They still resist upselling. Daily reminder from service manager keeps them focused.

Doesn't accomplish my objectives. I would

Large GM Buick Pontiac GMC
$2000 base
7% of the gross profit written
commons spiffs.

Most dealerships are union and get paid $21.41 per hour plus spiffs.

$3500 to $5500. Depends heavily on production and CSI. Up to 6% on cp, 3% on warr, 2% on internal.

New pay plan implemented 3 weeks ago. No base,S.A. pay is based on individual labor gross with the percentage based on C.S.I. It is based on a sliding scale from 17% to 11% depending on individual C.S.I. 14% is national average, if they are above national they make more,below they make less. So far no problems have surfaced and boy are they focused on active deliveries.

We pay $750.00 salary per month, 7% of CP and Warranty Labor, 5% of Internal Labor and
3% on Parts across the board. Also CSI bonus if above regional average and labor bonus if CP labor per ro is above regional average.
Average earnings between 4500-5500 per month
LA suburbs medium size Toyota store.

We pay $220.00 per week salary. $3.00 per flat rate hour the advisors group flags. Also CSI bonus, spiffs and ro avg.bonus at the end of the month. Monthly average is between $3750.00 to $5200.00. We are a medium size shop in Lakeland Fl. (between Tampa and Orlando). Buick and Mitsubishi franchises. Pay plan works well for us.
