Matrix Pay Plans for Service Advisors

Matrix Pay Plans for Service Advisors

Postby marcdv » Mon Jul 14, 2003 10:21 pm

I'm thinking about implementing a 5 x 5 matrix pay plan for my advisors. It would tie their customer satisfaction scores and hours per RO numbers to an appropriate labor percentage. The higher their marks in each area, the higher their bonus percentage would be.

Any thoughts on such a plan? I might divulge that this was suggested to me by an ATCON representative.

Thanks.

well I hope it was ATcon since that it is their payplan method. It's less than a $100 and you can order from them right online here

Since the plan is theirs I am not too free to reveal and editorialize on it. I will say that the best attribute that managers tell me is that they can change some of focus and parameters for the advisors without redoing the entire pay plan. It allows you to say emphasize different areas in a manner without totally changing the advisor's focus. I can't imagine it isn't worth the investiment.

Matrix Pay Plans for Service Advisors

We have used a pay plan for advisors without
change basically for the eight years I have been here. CSi O/A Service rating determines the TEAM percentage that
Advisors are paid......ie if @ 3.0 they are paid 6.5% labor; if 3.2 pay is at 7% etc until 3.7 and above at 8%. In addition - they are paid an hour per RO bonus of .25% to 1% depending on HR per RO with a qualifier that there individual O/A Consultant CSi must be @ or above dlr average to be paid the bonus...... Other little bonus for individual CSi is in place and the base percentage is reduced if labor sales for the individual are < $30k by .5% and increased by .5% if over $45k.
TOTAL percentage is capped at 8.5% of labor.
Each Consultant also is paid a base salary that varies from $1000. to $1750. depending on experience and skill level.....
It is a simple plan actually and rewards the desired behavior.
