Tech 2 for All makes - All models?

Can the tech 2 be converted to an all makes all models scan tool? If not, any recomendations for an all makes all models scan tool?

The TechII is GM specific. Several of my techs have the OTC 5000 & 6000 that seems to be very good with all makes. Genesis makes teo scanners that appears to be as good also.
