Is anyone using the Rey & Rey Service Pricing
Guide? It sounds like a good program.

Has anyone found any drawbacks or problems in using this system?

I set up and used the R&R SPG system at my previous shop. I worked the kinks out as they came up, but for the most part, it was great. They recently changed and set p each dlrshp with a consultant to work directly with, huge improvement. I really like their system and would recommend it to any who have the R&R system.

I only wish ADP had something of that caliber...

The latest enhancements to the Reynolds Service Price Guides are awesome. You can change the labor time if necessary, look in to your own parts inventory for QOH, tie the SPG to the ERA op code, parts alert from the service drive are just a few that make this application a must today. They will increase production, very flexible and simple and most importantly will increase profitability.
Management reports to help "sell" their usage to everyone will show ELR % increase by using SPG. In addition, increased CSI will occur with improved communication and accurate faster pricing information.

ADP does have a similar program called SPS. I understand it recently received some significant updates. You should touch base with them to be sure.

We installed R&R Pricing Guide in January of this year. Same as some of the other comments the enhancements they have made are great especially parts availability among a few. The only drawback is it is a little slow pulling it up at times but I think it is more our system getting maxed out. Go for it if you have not already.

THE R&R SPG IS FANTASTIC! THE ONLY DRAW BACK I HAVE FOUND IS GETTING MY ADVISORS TO USE IT. I HAVE FOUND THE SUPPORT TO BE GREAT AS WELL. I WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANYONE THAT HAS R&R TO ADD SPG AND USE IT.

As a former Fixed Ops Manager, I have the experience of using SPG in it's older version as well as the completely revamped version available since last year. Navigation is much simpler, there are utilization reports to verify who is using it and who is not (have fun comparing the utilization percentages vs. advisor sales and or team productivity, you will be pleased with what you find.)Use of SPG makes the quoting and P+A process more efficient and can can impact reducing tech non-productive time by as much as 75% based on a 65% utilization factor by the advisors. The advisors made fewer adjustments to labor (verified on edit lists) we retained a higher labor gross profit %, my policy adjust was reduced, effective labor rate increased. SPG has a much higher level of integration which improves efficiency and reduces redundant data entry by advisors and counterpersons. I could go on and on. Some of you know I work for Reynolds but I truly speak from dealership experience when I rant and rave about SPG. To put it plainly, if I went to work back in a dealership it wouldn't be without SPG.

Sounds like a Rey & Rey comercial. I use ERA with Reynolds but the add on like service pricing are to expense. I am using ServicePlus which can be used on a stand alone or networked at more than half Reynolds price. If you would to check it out call 888-443-4065

RsgrubbsIII, with Service-Plus you still have to utilize your counterman to verify parts availability and there is no integration with ERA Service or Parts. Great idea if you don't mind the inefficiency! (Which I thought was the point of utilizing a product like this?)

Before you jump on this band wagon -- realize that at 2%net for most dealerships, you have to generate $100 in sales to offset $2 in additional expense. Check out the additional cost for the program and the additional support fees --- they are HEAVY!!!

The short of it is that if you are a dealer selling less than 300 cars per month, it aint worth it. Small to medium dealers cannot generate enough net with the increased sales to justify the increased cost cost.

The guy that developed that program at Rey Rey is now a Vice President at ADAM Dealer Systems. Look for a much more cost effective version to come out under that label.
