R&R Report Generator and Letterwriter

Our GM dealership would like to start an inhouse Service Reminder Program using Reynolds and Reynolds report generator and letterwriter. I am not very familiar with either report generator or letterwriter so I am having trouble figuring out how to set this up. We would like to have the option of using letters or postcards and have the option to sort by make, year, mileage, etc. Does anyone out there use this system and would you share the setup that you are using with me?

Is there any outside software available that you are having sucess with?
