I didn't know it was available yet (other than testing at certain dealerships). I took the tour, it seemed ok. If it is out there (not in test) could you let me know.

We have it up and running at our Chevrolet dealership. It is "web based" and very different as you can check warranty history and see a spid label all off the same location. It is just off of the autopartners site and I think it will be very helpful once we get used to it.

THE NEW VISS SEEMS TO BE WORKING OK. IT SEEM TO BE FAST AND USER FRIENDLY FOR PC GEEKS. WE DON'T HAVE PC'S YET FOR OUR SERVICE WRITERS THOUGH. I DON'T KNOW HOW WERE GOING TO HANDLE IT YET. ANYBODY OUT THERE RUNNING WINS THROUGH DEALERWORLD AND R&R ?

Actually, we've used it a couple of times and it's pretty cool.

We had a car in the shop which did'nt have much info on the old VISS. Specifically, we wanted to know the source of the car (state, dealer, etc.) and we used to get our ASM rep to run the VIN.

Now, we can do it and yes, you get warranty history, selling dealer, delivery dealer, etc. just like what the rep. would report.

This is good!

I understand that we will be processing our warranty claims through this system as it comes up to speed and DCS will go away. Has anyone heard or seen just how this is going to work???

Warranty claims processing will not change for most dealers. Internet claims processing is intended for warranty processing companies and dealers who have hand-written repair orders and do not have the ability to download claims through a system vendor.

I have been processing claims over the internet for a few weeks now. The system definetly takes some getting used to.

There were a few bugs at the begginging, but they have been working them out all along.

Have not noticed the VISS running on dealerworld yet. I checked today. I do like the tour. It is very much like our VIP on Chrysler we have. It will be a good addition.

I have been running my warranty claims through the web for about a month. I like it. It has been getting better as we move along and GM gets the bugs out of their network. Dealer world will be a good addition.
