Post by dave1959 »

After 11 years with Chrysler and Reynolds & Reynolds I'm making the jump to Toyota,Hyundai and ADP....

Hyundai just started their own version of SLP, from what I understand it may be worse than GM's version. ADP is a nightmare, you'll have to take 20 steps to do what R&R could do in 2. It's much slower, and far too over complicated, makes my head hurt even thinking about it. What I've also noticed from our recently acquired import stores is that the mark up from cost to msrp is quite a bit less than GM, not sure about Chrysler, but it seems to me it would be more difficult to maintain good margins. I wish you luck and ADP does have pretty customer service, and a good website that helped me tremendously. Of course the people on here help a ton too. I would ask on here about that new stocking program from Hyundai.

I think you will find Toyota a joy to work with. They are, in my opinion, the absolute best.

ADP has what I like to call the new screen and old screen. The new (pretty) screen is just a skin over the old screen. To skip many of the bugs and slowness use the old screen.

The Old Screen is actually now called the 'Advanced Elite' view now instead of the 'old screen'. C'mon, Drive is just a user interface runnning the very same data.

Sorry, I can't stand all the tick boxes and stuff. I prefer just flowing over the keyboard to get things done, Thank You.

I left Chrysler in January 2012 after 24 years. I promise you you won't look back...
Toyota is very responsive to the dealers and will actually answer the phone when you call!!
Good luck and Enjoy!
