Phase in Criteria

Post by MannyM »

I just a question In Regards to Phase in Criteria we are Using ADP and our Current stocking Criteria is 3 in 9 (Which is 3 months with sales/demand in 9 months

Someone suggest... 3 sales/demand regardless how many months with sales as long as its within the 9 month period

Example: Parts No. 123 in one month we sold 3 pcs. to different customer you this parts will phase in or we sold 1 in one month then we sold 2 in the following month..

Is this possible?

Thanks,
Manny

I would not suggest that. You will be bombarded with new parts you shouldn't stock.

Mine is set at (both phase in and phase out) 3 in 12.

If you want to modify yours use function IRO.

Gotta agree with Tim. Phase in should reflect a consistancy of demand over time to predict reliable future demand. There are too many possibilities for a one time unusual demand which may never be repeated.

It's a shame GM never heard of that theory

The only other factor besides sales that drive demand are lost sales. If youre on drive and you really wanted to ,you could make the weight put on lost sales 0.
