IGN SWITCH&CYL BILLING

Postby MIKE1010 » Fri Apr 18, 2014 9:38 pm

How are you billing these parts on the ro. I know I order and bill 23215459. They will send the switch and if needed cylinder and or keys. But now they have a part number for the cyl kit with key which is 23232576 and it has a price in GM. So we will not order this kit for the recall but it will be included in probably most of the recall orders. Are we invoiced for this part? Do we bill this part number on the ro?

Don't bill or order the kit, bill it as the individual part numbers and thats how they will bill you. The advisor should be writing two lines as well. The switch goes on one line and the cylinder and keys go on the other line.

We only received one loose switch under the original part number. 3 days later, a cylinder, and today finally the 2 keys. These were all seperate orders and shipments from different PDCs and are invoiced as such. So we will bill out as such on this RO. Now the rest of my old "pre-Webex" orders have sent answerbacks stating they are substituting a kit part number. In the Webex they stated bill out the kit number, as that is what we will be invoiced for. I'll actually believe that statement when I see an invoice with the kit part number on it, but these orders haven't released yet.

ps I guess they've finally stopped taking SPAC cases, as all of our recent orders are now held on RVW 02 status and not truly backordered

I think the owner letters are going out shortly if not already...

So far I have received all my switches loose, followed by the cylinders and keys a day or two later. I haven't seen a kit yet. I have gotten 8 switches so far.

Received today our very first order that was inputed. Ordered the switch (23215459) but received 23232576 (includes #23215459 switch; #20869121 cylinder and #23231623 2 keys). So my question is this....do we bill out just the switch (part #23215459) or do we bill out all 3 part numbers?

If it was me, I would charge out All 3 parts numbers. I'm 99.9% sure we will be invoiced for all 3 parts by GM>

I was billed for the kit at $64.06 So here is the scoop after our warranty clerk talked to GM Warranty about billing:
Switch has to be billed on one line as 23215459 (cost is $23.31) cylinder and keys billed on another line as numbers per application, 23869121 (cost is $45.45) and keys billed by application, 22679805 (cost is $5.00 each) but the cost for all three can NOT exceed the price of the kit even though the "listed" cost of all three is $78.76. The key is STILL RIM controlled SLP part and the cylinder was just pulled from RIM (even though I have 2 in stock). Does anyone see a problem here? Does anyone have an idea which part to reduce the cost on? Does GM have ANY friggen idea what they are talking about??????
ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!!!!! They do not have any idea whether or not the keys they sent will even fit the damned car!!
"Our main concern is the safety of the public". Don't worry all technical issues will be worked out by your friendly local Dealer.

UPDATE>>>>UPDATE..... Warranty Center just now called back. The absolute lastest.. Bill the "KIT" on the switch recall line. The cylinder is line is for labor only.
I am going to bet a drink that this will change shortly!
