Our first ignition switch recall......wow.....

Our first ignition switch recall......wow.....

Postby PARTSPHIL » Thu May 08, 2014 4:48 pm

We got our first customer to return this morning to do the ignition switch recall on their cobalt. Started taking it apart and found that the ignition lock cylinder control solenoid IS COMPLETELY GONE! Yes it has been removed and the gears can be shifted at any time. Guess why........because the BTSI solenoid on the shifter is out and the shift knob is also broken. Now what!? We are contacting our APM to see, but I bet we end up replacing all this crap under warranty. Anybody want to help get this one paid????????

The words "10' pole" come to mind, as well as "Not only no, but hell no!"
.... But in reality, good luck!

Worked for an old man up in Alturas, Ca., you would have to find it on a map. He "started" a Dealership during the depression and succeeded, in other words a smart old man. His favorite saying for a situation like that was, "the more you handle a t*rd the more you get on you". Nuff said!
