Perhaps it's because I'm old and remember how to MANAGE a parts inventory. Why does RIM make me stock
ELEVEN WIPER BLADES and we basically have DAILY STOCKORDERS? Perhaps someone above my paygrade
can explain? This just pi$$e$ me off to no end.

Because RIM is an all knowing program - or wait maybe GM bought a boatload of them and do not want their money tied up!
There are a few bugs in the RIM all knowing program but they will be fixed as soon as the gurus are finished with the ACA WEB Site.
You only have 11 because that is all the fingers the guru had.
Part of the RIM logic includes the following parameter - "it was not raining when Noah built the Ark".

As a fellow "oldtimer" - only thing worse the be Pd-off'd is being Pd-on! GM gurus are working on the technology for that as an expansion of RIM.

There is only one explanation for RIM, "control". It has absolutely NOTHING to do with "inventory control" it only has to do with GM's control over the Dealer. What a friggen joke!!! They can't even control themselves. It is a "computerized" version of an antiquated card deck run by someone that knows absolutely nothing about your demographics or your customer, seated in a building a couple thousand miles away (at least for me) of which you are paying dearly for in reduced discounts and allowances. RIM cost GM "millions" of dollars a year to run yet the reduction in discounts and allowances generates "BILLIONS" of dollars in GM's pocket. If you have been following the news at all you can surely see that "greed" is running the show at GM and if you are looking at "billions" of dollars you have all the explanation anyone would need.

Can someone explain how I can sell 72-25877402 wiper blades YTD, they are stocked at our local pdc and RIM keeps me 12 on the shelf. 19286292 I have sold
62 this year and recorded 25 lost sales and RIM keeps me only 8 on the shelf, not too bad except the DEF fluid has a 7-8 day lead time. I guess I need to permanently exclude it and manually order on QPO.
