Set up file transfers from Nissan Fast to Reaynolds & Reayno

Does anyone have a step-by-step method of setting up Reynolds & Reynolds and Nissan Fast parts file transfers?

I was told that Reynolds does not have a method of transferring parts but this morning while meesing around with the system I found the Nissan Parts Transfer button. I located the file path and redirected the Nissan Fast system to transfer the parts file to that folder but when I click the Nissan Parts Transfer button on Reynolds I get the error message "A parts transfer file has not been created". If you look in the folder, the parts transfer file is in there, why doesn't reynolds recognize it?

Anybody run into this?

Well, I found out how to make it work. Theres a few glitches though!

Reynolds is looking for a file named PARTS.DAT but Nissan sends the file with the name SEND.DAT. Not a big deal because you can always just rename the file if you really wanted to, but on the Reynolds side, if any of the P#'s superceed then it screws it all up, AND you have to do it on a fresh quote. If your adding parts to a quote then Reynolds will not recognize that your at a P# input prompt and you will get an error message saying that the curser needs to be at a P# input prompt.

All in all, its a start and workable I guess! It would be nice to have a parts file transfer method that works for those 45 line body orders!

Hi, Do you have a copy of your NSFASTKY file that I can look at. Years ago I set up the parts transfer feature, but I can not find my cheat sheet and remember some of the set up, but I am missing a step or two. Thanks, Paul
