GM's Unofficial response: We're trying to recoup some losses due to the recalls by increasing the cost of this oil filter, which btw, will become the standard oil filter for every GM vehicle.

6-3-14 Per G.Gundry, email was sent to V.Axley stating: I received your comments on the filter pricing on parts PF2130(19303249) and PF2130F(19303250). These two parts do have added content as the seal is now included (old #’s, PF2129/PF2129F did not). We realized the new prices were out of line and have requested that they be adjusted to only include the cost of the seal. We are adjusting the prices as follows: Price changes processed for 8/1/14. Durapack part: 19114105 (PF2129F) r/b 19303250 (PF2130F) Cost went up $1.24 for the cost of the added seal. Dealer price went from $2.70 to $7.38. Price to be lowered to just add the cost difference ($1.24) to the new filter. PF2130F new Dlr @ $3.94 ($2.70 + $1.24). Single part: 25177917 (PF2129) r/b 19303249 (PF2130). Cost went up from $1.28 for the cost of the added seal. Dealer price went from $3.92 to $8.10. Price to be lowered to just add the cost difference ($1.28) to the new filter. PF2130 new Dlr @ $5.20 ($3.92 + $1.28).
