EKC Lookup

EKC Lookup

Postby Bailo1 » Wed Jun 11, 2014 11:21 am

Am I the only one who has problems logging into EKC lookup almost EVERY SINGLE TIME!? I get an error message stating "an unexcepted error message has occurred". Have checked to make sure our PCs are on the horribly outdated IE9 and they are. Anyone know any tricks?

"horribly outdated IE9" That is an understatement. I called GM and asked them to step into the 21 century so we could use Chrome or Firefox. Was told "that wasn't going to happen". Asked about IE11 was told "we are working on it"
Whenever I log onto Dealer world my OE connect and my WD website either lock up or just log off. Gm blames their sites they blame Gm's site while I sit here screwed. Have to wait 1-3 minutes to log back on. Cleared Cache, cookies and history still does it.
When I log onto that wonderful invention of parts trader just about 2-3 times a day I even lose cataloging. Its just a cluster

Done with rant sorry to steal thread and complain

Have a grat HUMP DAY

Just look at Global Connect and you will understand. They have probably done the same as with their other suppliers. Peggy is working for penuts and the General is padding his pocket as fast as he can. No point in paying the big bucks for IT when you can get Peggy for cheap.
"PART #25841843 IS CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE
DUE TO CONTRACT ISSUES. PER SUPPLY CHAIN/PURCHASING THE
TENT. DATE FOR CONTRACT RESOLUTION IS UNAVAILABLE.
WILL PROVIDE MORE INFO WHEN AVAILABLE. "
You and I both know what the "CONTRACT ISSUES" are. GM does not want ANYONE to make a profit off of them, all the money is for the big dog and you have a lot of damned nerve to think otherwise. Welcome to the new world order.

A while back, they had some issues with EKC not working and the suggestion at the time was to use Chrome.

AFAIK, Chrome works fine in Gobal and the key code function

Zep,

Does your cataloging work when you have chrome as your browser, ours will not.

never checked, I only use Chrome for the digital signage and training. Everything else I'm still using IE8 (XP machine) can't use WIN 7 because my SAAB catalogs/service manuals won't work on it unless upgrade to professional and use Virtual Machine to emulate XP and I just haven't felt like dealing with that yet.

You can still have Chrome installed and use it when you need to. Just don't set it as default browser
