Recall #14187 - Part #23247593

OMG!

Do they realize how time consuming it is to put in over TWO HUNDRED Spac cases? Especially when their servers can't handle the load and you have to try 5 or 10 times on EVERY ONE to get a case number? We've got pre-tensioners on backorders also for customers.

AND THEN CANCEL THEM ALL TODAY!?!?!?!?!?

We got 10 on the allocation, and they were gone instantly to deliver the "sold" vehicles waiting from the "stop-sale".

I've always told people "you can't change what happens to you, only how you react to it".

Well I am freaking quite upset.

I said the same thing to the general manager this morning. What a waste of time making those SPAC Cases. MY Rep. sent us a message this morning saying that some dealers ordered large quanities and that left nothing for everyone else, so now they are changing the process and those dealers that ordered large quanities will not get any for awhile. That Great GM Feeling just hit me again. Can' t wait to go back to the cardiologist for my check up, I am not suppose to get stressed but I can't help it. I am worn out from jumping through all the hoops. : - (

Just when you think it can't get worse.

I actually sent in a DFOAB issue yesterday asking why I received one that I put a SPAC case on 6/13 but had 3 earlier SPAC cases still open. One was from a full week earlier.

The initial shipment they were supposed to do got me one kit.

Now they're gonna try that again? Maybe I'll get 2 this time.

So now, those of us that were on the ball and followed procedures by ordering needed parts are lumped in with the masses that didn't know what to do, how to do it, or have the drive to do it. Where have I heard that story before????????

Glad I spent about 10 hours CSO'ing and upgrading about 500 with SPAC cases. Out of those I only received about 40!

It is so nice of GM to think of busy work for us all to do to fill our days. I will remember this when the survey rolls around.

To: Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac Dealers

To facilitate an orderly distribution of parts, beginning June 18, 2014, Dealers will automatically be shipped parts for Recall 14187A and at 11:59 PM EDT on June 17, 2014, ALL orders currently in the system for parts included in the Front Safety Belt Anchor recall will be CANCELLED.

This includes all orders of the parts shown below whether they were placed by dealerships as a DRO, CSO or CSO with a SPAC case:

Dealers will receive the order cancellations on June 18, 2014.

Order controls will be put into place which will cancel all orders (DRO & CSO) of these parts until further notice. During this period, no SPAC cases for the Front Safety Belt anchor recall will be accepted.

Beginning June 18, 2014, dealers will automatically be shipped quantities of these parts based upon prior shipments and current inventory levels. GM will utilize this method of order fulfillment until adequate inventory is available to reinstate ordering processes. At that point, additional methods for order fulfillment will be implemented and shared with you.

Thank you for your understanding and patience during this unusual time. We believe this process change will allow for a more equitable distribution of parts in the short term.

We appreciate the ongoing help and support our dealers have provided in making each customer’s experience as convenient as possible.

If you have any questions, please contact your District Manager-Aftersales.

I have never looked forward to a survey as much as I am right now....

Other than my facing PDC, and MAYBE my DPSM, I have a scorched earth policy towards GM right now.

The way I read this bulliten is that even if we re order the sleeves for customers they will cancel. That is total B.S. how are we supposed to keep track of all the service customers that are wrote up in the drive and we cant even put the part on order. At least with the ignition switches they will accept orders and we will get them somday but this dumps it on us to try to have some kind of system to keep all these straight so that when these become availible then we can order.
