Last time I had a WPC battery called back (a couple of years ago) we called the WPC and asked them, "do you really want to pay hazmat shipping on a wet battery? They said "just send us the paperwork and we will call it good." Works for me!

My first and hopefully last one was just a couple months ago. They sent me a box with all the haz mat markings, a ton of bubble wrap and bags to "protect" the battery. Had no problem with Central picking it up, didn't even have to palletize it, i just set it on the back of his truck, got my pro label and went back to my day. Of course it helps to keep a good working relationship with the drivers...

Those trucks should already have them. Sounds like an uninformed driver.

I'd give Central a call for verification.

AFAIK, that's their job to have the proper identification cards, not yours and they should know ahead of time what they're picking up. Maybe they didn't this time

I've done about 3 or 4 in the last 6 months and never had a problem. GM sends the box with all of the instructions and we never had an issue.
