What's your oldest IGN switch recall order not filled?

gt
I wouldn't be too surprised if the 1 from April 15th has been cancelled.

"Q: Should open orders without SPAC cases be cancelled and replaced with a new CSO with the VIN in the note field?

A: Dealers who entered CSO Ignition switch orders for part number 23215459 prior to 4/16/2014 may choose to upgrade those orders to SPAC cases before close of business on 5/23/2014. Any orders that are not upgraded by that date will be cancelled, and dealers will need to follow the order process described in message G_0000189595. "

I have a ton on order still, but all of my original ones that I started SPAC cases on have been taken care of.

I have an order from April 10th that they keep canceling for duplicate VIN. It's REALLY irritating.

Probably some other dealer fat fingered the entry of his vin number and now you are screwed.

Had one come in today. Called customer to set up appointment and they informed us that they had it repaired a month ago at the dealer in the next town. Sure enough checked viss and the campaign is closed. Called other dealer and verified that repair was done by them. He said that they ordered parts the day before we did and then customer came over here and ordered parts. What happend to duplicate vin GM

Mike: The way I heard about duplicates was the VIN# was applied to your BAC Code when you ordered it.
If a different BAC uses the VIN you are on your own. Good luck getting GM to take any back!!

Had a similar thing happen today. We've had a kit ordered since may 30th and the customer is out in one of our rental cars.
Parts still not in of course, Customer calls and says the other GM dealer got their parts in and they want to take it to them to get the recall done. Why the heck did they have another dealer order the parts then come beg us for a rental car and have us order parts too. To avoid a situation with the rental I called their parts manager and explained the situation and they sold us the kit they had for the customer. To make things worse, I can't cancel the switch I have ordered on Dealerworld even though it shows backorder facility 88 and SPAC says refer to bulletins we can't help you cancel recall parts orders. I wanna see the bulletin that tells you what to do in this situation. lol

That duplicate VIN check was supposed to be across all dealerships. Not just your own BAC

Shocking that it didn't work

"Only one order per VIN will be filled. All SPAC cases will be put through a VIN validation process and duplicate orders will be cancelled. "

Since they stopped letting us put SPAC cases on these... I guess it doesn't really say one way or another - but that's what we get for assgming

I'm a little confused as to how they had a rental -didn't you have custody of their car?....If I had their car, they aren't getting it back until I repair it. And my APSM backed me on that issue recently.
I'm not worried about cancelling ANY parts orders on these kits, they will be around for years to come. A lot of people just won't get them done, because they aren't having an issue, and some don't even know about the recall at all!!
