.3 for WPC parts returns

.3 for WPC parts returns

Postby Zep33 » Wed Jul 02, 2014 1:10 pm

Can someone point me to either the op code or bulletin that states this. I've been asking my warranty clerk to look into this and it's not happening.

Getting frustrating doing all this for free when I don't have to

thanks

Date: 5/28/2014 Ref. number: Service / Warranty / G_0000192839
Subject: Ignition Switch Recall Parts Return

I believe that .03 allowance is only for returns for cylinders and switches replaced
before May 28. NO .03 allowance for the ones the WPC has been asking for since then.
I enjoy working for free. Especially for a corporation as caring of people as GM is.

Zepp: No op code. Go back into initial RO and the line for the switch. Have your warranty clerk drop down to the "administration" line and add .3, put in a comment for warranty parts return and hit submit. Should pay right away.

They put out a cheat sheet after the June 16th system failure that didn't ask for returns. It doesn't have a # on it so I can't refer you to it but...

the first column (row) of it states:

Recall Ignition Ongoing system generated part return requests - Date Range - May 28th and after - Under the labor column it states:

"With the original warranty claim, Service Agents should submit their actual time used to process the WPC part return requests, up to maximum of 0.3 hr per transaction"

It states the exact same thing next to the "June 16th System Issue" column

And it also states it next to the "One Time Request - Ignition Switch (parts listed on attached spreadsheet)

So it does offer it up for all the returns involving ignition switches (new or old)

I was just hoping to find it in a P&P section somewhere.

If anyone wants a copy of this sheet, PM me your fax #

If at all possible, you should submit for the .3 on the original claim. If you go back and do an add after the fact, it sometimes will generate a new parts return request. Since you have already returned it, you will be required to submit for a parts waiver, and we all know how frustrating that can be!

Yeah I'm just trying to get her to go from this point forward but have been trying to get her to do it for a month. 15 returns later and still nothing.

All WPC requests have always paid .3 administrative allowance they call it. So yes they will pay.

Since I heard that we could collect on the WPC returns I found out that you can apply as far as 1 year back. So I pulled all my requests that are 1 year or less and had our office put in for the $$$$

Our service manager does all the warranty claims and he hasn't ever claimed the .3 for returns and is confused on how to. What menu option is it to add it?
