P/N 19210732 for recall 12106C

Recall 12106 generally requires part number 19210732. We have been ordering them right along, last order was 6/27/14, and received it.

Yesterday I tried to order this again - RIM doesn't manage it - and it cancelled. Checked on EPIC and it now states "PART NOT AVAILABLE - COMPONENT PART". I called SPAC but since this is a recall part they won't speak about it.

We installed the one yesterday and the warranty claim processed just fine.

Anyone heard about this? IVH still showed the recall was open and the bulletin is still shown in SI as of this writing.

How are we supposed to complete this recall from now on?

OH YES, ONE MORE THING. WHERE DOES SPAC GET THE ABILITY TO SIMPLY IGNORE OUR REQUESTS FOR INFORMATION ABOUT RECALL PARTS? COULD YOU IMAGINE IF WE DIDN'T RESPOND TO OUR CUSTOMER'S REQUEST ABOUT A RECALL.

New Recall coming out on that: 14152 requires different parts for different vehicles. First phase is for Saturn Auras and uses 23237999 and 25907374, but the other vehicles might use that 19210732, or it's a component of these new kit numbers. They'll release the other numbers when those phases of the recall are announced. At least that's my un-edumicated guess.

THe 23237999 is a cable kit which includes a 19210732 in the box. We've done a couple so far. I didn't think they were doing cables on most of the cars involved so it doesn't make sense that its not available. At the same time, I'm really not at all surprised. The other new recall today 14117, Has a part # of 23232310 I tried to order. It went to backorder and couldnt even enter a spac case even though there is 3 warehouses with stock available.

Have two customers with recall 14152 recalls in their hands today, same cable, both Saturns.

Yes we have been doing the Saturns with the first phase of the new recall 14152. However, we have had two people in the last three days bring in their notification letter of the "old" recall. So now we can't get parts for the "old" - still open on IVH - recall. AND the new recall phase hasn't been issued for their car. ASSUMING their car will get the new recall.

So we are faced with trying to explain why we cannot complete / fix a defect on yet another (insert make / model here) vehicle.

It is exhausting...
