"Ok, from order status I did find a vin it was associated with. The original parts were ordered April 23rd and we completed the recall May 12. I guess we can use it for someone else then."

Had 4 here that were duplicated or had already been done. Now they are tagged for new customers comming in. Pain in the butt to research but I guess that's what we are stuck with.

I am guessing this one is for stock.

I looked in a different order status screen and found the VIN.

Second duplicate one I've received for the same VIN.

Retards.

Same thing happened here. Luckily I could probably use a few extras for when some of my guys screw up.

About 40% of our customers are not returning for the recall kits. I am going to have one hell of a return. I will not sit on these kits in hopes another customer will need them and I am sure my GM would want back his 5k for the unused kits.

Maybe this will help clear things up... I got this letter from Paul Zebo our service rep...

Sent: Tuesday, July 15, 2014 3:19 PM
To: Barry R. Alick
Subject: IGN Reorder worksheet

Barry,
As you are hearing some dealers may have received answerbacks on Monday, July 7 notifying them that ignition switch orders were cancelled due to Duplicate VIN. There were approximately 2000 orders impacted. These orders were cancelled in error. When a fix was attempted by IT Tuesday dealers received an answerback stating that an order for an ignition switch kit was canceled. Replacement orders were processed Wednesday and are on the attached file it has the old order and the new order number. If you filter by customer code it will show all the orders for that customer that are effected.

The customers and the field contacts I worked with last week were very happy with the file and found it very helpful.

All,
This may be a duplicate email but figured I would share in case anyone else was missed in the first communication.

Thank you,
Tammy Garrow

they also attached a Excel spread sheet of all the oness that were canceled,
I got a 3 answer backs that noted the ones canceled, I was fortunate that I held on to them and reasinged the RECALL control numbers to the original control numbers.

Got one yesterday (7/17) too. I went into the E-Packing slips section and found the shipment number, opened the file, found the VIN.

This is an order that canceled a long time ago for duplicate or incorrect vin. Here we go................
