Survey reminders

Survey reminders

Postby bigmac » Wed Jul 30, 2014 1:28 pm

If and when GM sends out a survey this year, it will be hard to remember all the crap we have had to put up with this year, so I thought we could put reminders in one topic. For instance, I ordered a door frame on the23rd. I checked GM's crappy tracking system and it said part should be at my door on Monday. This is Wednesday and still no part. The tracking website now says I should have it yeasterday. I called Spac to see if they could give me a better idea of when I will have it so I can quit looking like a complete ass to my customer. All Ashley(agent#866) wanted to do was tell me oversized parts take 5 to 7 days. She wouldn't do anything.

Good idea. Let's see how many people complain about not getting brake parts and having it affect their loyalty since they had to obtain them elsewhere...

To quote Jim Steinman (Meatloaf's songwriter)

"I remember everything!
I remember every little thing as if it happened only yesterday."

and boy, am I gonna skewer GM on this survey....they think last year's was embarassing..... Wait til I get ahold of them this year.

1) bitter topic. Cancelling HUNDREDS of orders, including SPAC case orders on recall 14187, just because some ASSH@LE in New England somehow slipped an order in for 1,100 and cause the rest of us to get screwed over....yeah, that's one that I won't EVER forget.

2) Making us order recall parts for 13454/14063/14092 one at a time on their website, instead of in our own DMS where we could keep better track of the orders.

I'll be doing the survey at home this year so I have plenty of time to consider each and every question

Precut keys that are supposed to ship overnight automatically but rarely do

48 hour "standard of service" that should have gone away in 1985 but still allowed to exist in GM land

Backordered brake rotors (and any other part) on the SLP program - If they can't supply them, get them off the list. Don't make us use up our 10% because you can't supply the parts.

Calling SPAC and being forced to listen to a 2-3 minute pre-recorded message with no way to bypass it if you already heard it 5 minutes before.

Had an order for 4 backordered wheels "plant cancel" after a month. When called SPAC, was just told to reorder and open a new SPAC case. Agent not realizing that would put me at the end of line again.

just a couple things off the top of my head this morning

Having us hold recall parts 'indefinatly".

Sonic Transmission recall. WHY THE HELL aren't they doing SERTA's on this????

14299 Key recalls. Send me 50 parts when I have 200 people (2 ~4 keys per car) waiting and won't let me order more.

They've only sent me one bag of 4 - enough for 1 car and no glue yet. Get at least 5 calls a day from people wanting to know if their switch/cylinder/keys are in yet.

I'm sure most will be shocked to see what they actually get

My favorite whipping post lately is the SLP debacle. They actually put the RIM children in charge of that program, and just "enhanced" the insults to our intelligence.

But Yeah, that whole Acadia/Enclave multiple recall fiasco topped it for me. Telling the DP we couldn't sell the 100+ trucks on the lot, not releasing parts for both the recalls at the same time, making all those customers come back cause we couldn't get the sleeve kits, and cancelling all those SPAC cases that took soooo many tries just to enter. I will NEVER forget THAT trick. That's beside the ignition switch/cylinder obstacle course of SPAC cases then Workbench shutting down from the overload to panic in the streets from the Media hype. Now we're going to glue 10c covers to 12 million keys, just to cover GM's butt. Just wait till you get a 1997 Grand Am in with one wore-out aftermarket key with the wrong head so you can't do the recall and can't get keys from GM cause they're on CSO OVN secret code "F" restriction and they want a loaner and a car wash for a dented up rag with no brakes!~ Just smile and say "NEXT!"

Actually, you know it's not the recalls so much as the way they are handled. The lack of co-operation and communication between their departments is astounding. It's like a clown-car parade at the circus, and I'm just tired of laughing. At some point it stops being entertaining and becomes just stupid. (No offense intended to any actual Clowns out there :) )

Good luck with that survey!

The biggest question remains to be answered; will all the response, good and bad, do any good at all. We will have to see.
