14350 Recall parts pre-shipment

Anybody had success in ordering the key insert part 23279477

I have tried 2 orders with 2 lines on each order, CSO with vin on each line item

global disconnect confirms national control on the part #'s, but you can proceed and submit order like the ignition key recall

23279477 qty 4
23232599 qty 4

the insert gets referred to a different PDC and canceled the next day, the rings get referred to a different PDC on the same order and seem to go through ok.

I have 3 or 4 orders in for 24 each of the inserts. They haven't cancelled though. They've been sitting at rvw status for a couple weeks.

All my prior orders for them cacelled though

I did get another automatic shipment of 12 rings yesterday though. Lot of good that does

BTW, I wouldn't do bulk orders of 23271934 rings any more.

The last update to the recall stated that GM was now sending them directly to the customers. We've had a few customers call asking what to do with them.

GM will let us buy as many as we want of those now since we'll be stuck with them till the end of time

I can't imagine GM sending the inserts directly to the customers but it wouldn't surprise me if they did that too. Just to make us look worse than we already do.

Ordered P/N 23279477 yesterday and all my orders wrote to facility 001. Also ordered P/N 23232599 and every order canceled "not open for order writing" WTF? So we can get covers but no rings now?

Yes, they were on the same order on workbench

I placed 40 orders yesterday and another 20 today and none of the 23232599's have cancelled.

The 23279477's from yesterday shipped.

I ordered some of the inserts, cover kits and 24 rings yesterday, today I get an answerback that says-

CNTL-14172 PDC-088 TYPE-V ORDER-2834419 DATE-09/25/14

LN PART NUMBER ORDR PRCD PDC ORDER *** STATUS MESSAGE ***
0001 23247262 0024 0000 088 2834419 324 Cancelled:Limit 1 piece per line for Recall

So does that mean that I need to put in an order of multiple lines of 1 piece per line for a part number that they are billing me individually
for, even though they come package of 4 pieces??
